Skiing

Sunday we headed out the door at 4:30am for a 4hr drive to go skiing/snowboarding. What an awesome day spent on the slopes with family. Girls did so well after only a few runs down the bunny hill that we ended up on the big hills and ski lifts for the remainder of our time there. I could not believe how fast the girls were able to pick up snowboarding. This definitely had to be one of my top days out as a family having fun. No more wasting money renting boards for the girls as they both have proved they can do it & love it. ** Insert happy momma dance** and some squeals

5K

Saturday Avery girl & I did our very first 5K run. Lets just keep this short & sweet Avery 7yrs old kicked my butt! I honestly could not be more proud. Love ya Avery girl! XoXo

No sew easy to make skirts

Easy to make.

The two skirts in the post below are super duper easy to make. Not kidding! Oh, how I love my hot glue gun....told you it was super easy! I will post some more pictures today on how I did each step. You can see with your own eyes how easy it really is! I did not sew these skirts...you can only wear them this time of year so I did not bother to sew them together more than likely they would not fit the girls next yr if they get a couple wears out of them it's fine by me. Both skirts were made for under $6.00 if I do the math correctly that would be $3.00 each....cheap & easy another bonus!

Ready for St Patty's Day.

Are ready for two girls to complete this funky green ensemble. I was able to finish both skirts in no time at all. I like those kinds of fun projects. No sewing was involved, makes me like this project even more. When they were finished the 7yr old said I should be an fashion designer bless her heart. As long as the girls like it thats all that matters! Pictures tomorrow, I am too tired to load them up tonight.

St Patty's Day

Last year for St Patty's Day we made fun little festive pants. This year we are making cute little festive skirts. I almost have one completed just a couple more finishing touches and I will post some pictures of it. The best part it requires no sewing! Gotta love that.

A fun time skiing

We had a fun time skiing. Girls were able to learn how to ski pretty darn fast. I was super duper impressed with their quick learning maneuvers. Me on the other hand had only skied one other time in my life and that was 2 weeks ago. We were a family of newbies. I think we all did pretty darn good for being new to this sport! No broken bones...means a successful weekend on the slopes!

Grandma K had sent the girls a Valentines card with $5 inside. You would have thought it was Christmas morning when she spotted these out thrifting. Price tag $3.99 at checkout realized they were half off! Way to score & still have some money left for future finds!
